my first radio was a mono AM model; this was mid/late 70s: everything from Pink Floyd to Earth, Wind and Fire; from Johnny Cash to Vangelis...definitely something about which to feel nostalgic. (I wouldn't touch AM radio with a 100-foot pole nowadays!)
